Our Team
Partner - Nickelle Vohs, CPA, CGA
Was raised on a farm between Spruce View and Caroline. She has 11 years of accounting experience in public practice and obtained her CGA designation in 2014. She started her journey at a firm in Red Deer and then in 2017 decided to start her own practice in Innisfail. Nickelle has worked a great deal with farming clients but has also had the pleasure of working with clients in many industries.
Larry J. Heth, RPA
In December of 1964 Larry became and accountant with a firm from Edmonton. They had over 4,000 clients and he worked for them as a travelling accountant for 10 years serving clients all over Alberta and Saskatchewan. In May 1975 he told his boss that he was going out on his own. He was given his own client base of his choosing and started his own accounting business till 1981. He sold his business to a CA firm in Edmonton and worked for them for a couple of years. He then decided to move to Innisfail where he started another business in 1983, again building up his clientele. In 1989 he challenged the exam and received his CGA Designation. In 2001 he again sold his business with the intention of retiring. His clients had other ideas for him though, they wouldn’t go anywhere else so he started on his own again and ran Larry J Heth Accounitng Inc. He has extensive experience in estate and farm planning. Some of his clients have been with him for over 50 years because of his caring and humours personality.
Cheri Vohs
She started out working in a bank right after high school and when se got married in 1985 she quit and starting working on her husbands’ farm with him. She slowly took over doing the books for the farm and then volunteered doing books for a few non-profits. After her children when to school she decided to take on some paying bookkeeping jobs and slowly worked up to doing some tax preparations as well. In 2005 she went to work for Larry J. Heth Accounting Inc. as an accounting technician and when her daughter, Nickelle, purchased his business she continued to work for her daughter.
Julia Nelson
Julia grew up on a farm just west of Sylvan Lake. She received her Bachelor of Management Degree in 2003 from the University of Lethbridge with a major in Human Resources. After working for a year for a staffing agency she took over running the office for her dad’s family run company for 4 years. Her love of the accounting side of business grew and started working for Larry J. Heth Accounting Inc. in 2009. She is now mainly responsible for the bookkeeping and personal T1 returns for clients and is eager to sort and organise any mess you might have.
